Description:The 7470A was the world's first small format paper-moving plotter. Previous plotters held the paper still while a mechanical arm held a pen to draw a 2-dimensional image. The advantages of the paper-moving technology were: lower costs due to fewer mechanical parts, higher speed due to the much lower inertia of the moving parts, and smaller size. The 7470A was a two pen plotter that plotted on A4-size media. It offered three interfaces: HP-IB, RS-232-C and HP-IL (for connection to HP handheld computers). The 7470A replaced the 7225A. 7470A - DocumentationSmallFormatPlottersProductBrief-5952-2214-8pages-Jul90.pdf 0.443 MBSmallPlotterSuppliesCables-5954-7106-8pages-May86.pdf(336 KB) 0.328 MB 7470-7475Brochure-5953-4187-12pages-Sep83.pdf 1.026 MB HPJournal1982Dec-7470A-19pages.pdf 0.628 MB 7470-HPIL-SchematicsByTonyDuell-8pages.pdf 3.242 MB 7470A_HP-ILSystem_5953-4153_2pages_Dec82.pdf 0.293 MB
